BLACK FRIDAY!

Funny how traditions start. Last year on Thanksgiving night we drove around to see who was waiting in line for all of the stores to open on Black Friday. We ventured out again this year. Some people go all out making their wait as comfortable as possible. I just had to take some pictures. Enjoy!

On Thanksgiving Day I am thankful for…

…the obvious. My family. My daughter specifically. She is my world…My friends. Those I have known forever and the new ones I make each day…My abilities and talents. Thank you for making me good at something I like doing so much…My success in business. My business is my other baby…My new studio. I love going to work each and every day. I leave the studio with a big smile on my face…The beautiful home I live in. I have it decorated “just so.” And for the fact that I no longer work out of my home…Being able to find joy in simple things…Laughing with my Mom about anything and everything. The list goes on and on…

Mostly, I am thankful for being able to live a life that I LOVE!

The 3rd Annual SMOOTFEST!

It is the third year that I have hosted this get together commonly known as SMOOTFEST. This year TWENTY professional photographers from all over the country came to Springfield to hang out for a weekend full of laughing, learning and did I say LAUGHING? We had photographers here from as far away as Washington, Nebraska, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, Missouri, Michigan and as close as Bloomington and Champaign. Images to follow!

Trick or TREAT!

Halloween was so much fun this year! After trick or treating our way through the neighborhood, we went home. Not too long after lots of little candy bars had mysteriously disappeared, lol, the doorbell rang. It seemed sort of late for more trick or treaters. I opended the door and WOW! There were a bunch of high school kids in costume standing there! I had taken almost all of their senior pictures. Woo Hoo! They were on their way to some fun Halloween event and just stopped by. How cool is that?
